Fostering
Fostering can be an incredibly rewarding experience. It can be extremely beneficial for animals that do not thrive in the shelter.
Are you interested in offering a safe haven for a shelter animal while they await their forever home?
If so, please fill out an application or complete and return a paper application. Paper applications may be dropped off at our shelter during our business hours or may be mailed in.
What is fostering?
Fostering is opening your heart and home to an animal in need, giving them love, safety, and care while they wait for their forever family. Fostering requires time, dedication, commitment, and patience. You never know what experiences an animal has been through and what challenges they will face in a home environment. Fostering isn't the right fit for everyone—it takes a special person to care for and love an animal knowing that one day you'll have to say goodbye so they can find their forever family.
Fostering is at no cost to the foster family. We provide all of the food and cover all of the medical expenses for the foster pet. We provide a crate, collar, leash, and toys. For cat fosters we also supply kitty litter and can supply scratching posts. All of the supplies must be returned when the foster animal is returned.
